What does Code Academy do?
Code Academy

Make it real. Make it right.  Apply to Code Academy.

Code Academy is a 12-week program that teaches passionate people how to build web applications.

Learning to build web applications is hard without the necessary structure, support and guidance. We provide expert instructionmentorship, and an immersive environment. You'll learn more in 12 weeks than most do in a year by attending Code Academy.

We offer two 12-week programs: one for web development in Ruby on Rails and one for user experience design

Why do you care?

In August, we launched Code Academy and received an overwhelming response.  We exceeded our application intake receiving a total of 88 applications.  Beyond the quantity of prospective students, the quality of our applicants was so impressive that we expanded our initial plan to accept only 12 students and enrolled 35.  Our class size remained intimate with 2 classes consisting of 16-18 students each.

The make-up of Code Academy's roster is very diverse on numerous levels including geographic location of our students. Twenty-five percent of our inaugural class comes from outside of Chicago that not only stretches to both coasts, but all the way from the Philippines.

We are halfway through our inaugural program and all 35 students are lightyears ahead of where they were on Oct. 3rd. To learn about them, visit our website to read about their first-hand experiences.
