BIOLOGY 219 STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM LIBRARY CONSULTATIONS

Undergraduate students in Biology 219 classes were required to a schedule a library consultation during the winter 2012 term. This consultation, with Liaison Librarian for Science at Drexel University Libraries, Margaret Dominy, reviewed the important resources that students would need to complete their reports for class -- and the results were impressive. As researchers are required to articulate plans to manage their data as a prerequisite to submit grants, Drexel University Libraries is excited to announce an evolving consultation service that will assist in their use of the DMPTool. A group of research institutions created this online tool to simplify the process of creating a data management plan. [more...]

In Spring 2012, a survey was sent to the 2,934 Drexel students who visited the Library Learning Terrace between September 2011 and February 2012. Responses were positive and echoed a need for more spaces on campus. Read the full assessment online.

Keith Berthrong, Said Shafik and Holly Tomren attended the Innovative Users Group (IUG) Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois in April 2012.
Adrienne Jenness, Circulation/Reference Librarian at Queen Lane Library, was an invited participant in the Medical Students Book Club a group of Drexel University College of Medicine students who meet four times a year to discuss popular literary titles in a casual setting, with refreshments.
