SCHOLARSIP BRINGS TOGETHER DREXEL COMMUNITY

To mark the end of winter quarter, on Monday, March 19, 2012, nearly 70 Drexel faculty and professional staff attended ScholarSip, a cross-disciplinary networking event held at the Academic Bistro and hosted by Drexel University Libraries. The event kicked-off with light refreshments and drinks, followed by an informative presentation from Dr. Youngmoo Kim, who introduced the Excite project. [more...]

UNIVERSITY ARCHIVES TO SPOTLIGHT A HISTORY OF WRITING AT DREXEL

On Wednesday, April 18th from 5 - 7 PM, Drexel University Archives will unveil a new exhibit, Inventing the Page: Student Literary Magazines at Drexel, with an opening event held at W. W. Hagerty Library. The event will feature selections from current Drexel writers, who identified their favorite works from year's past. [more...]

Linda M. G. Katz, Acting Director of the Health Sciences Libraries, was invited to serve a three-year term on the editorial board of JMLA: Journal of the Medical Library Association. Her term will begin on June 1, 2012.Rebekah Kilzer, Larry Milliken and Jay Bhatt co-authored the chapter Fast and Furious: Using Web-Conferencing and Other Tools for Virtual Reference and Instruction in "Leading the Reference Renaissance: Today's Ideas for Tomorrow's Cutting Edge Services" (Neal-Schuman, 2012). Kelley Cotter, Circulation Clerk at Queen Lane Library, presented Leveraging Social Media in Education at the e-Learning Conference, held at Drexel University, on March 29, 2012. |
