: Our minds are finite, and yet even in these circumstances of finitude we are surrounded by possibilities that are infinite, and the purpose of life is to grasp as much as we can out of that infinitude - A.N Whitehead
So you want to make a change in your life? Where do you begin? How about answering this question: what keeps you awake at night?
But such situations are not common, and many of us go through life without ever having to make such a choice. Yet many of us are paralysed by the fear of missing an opportunity by making a choice. We therefore spread resources thin to cover all bases. And so many of us end up making little progress, here and there, but nothing to really make a meaningful impact in our lives.
It's like spending a shilling at a time, becasue you don't want to use it all at one go. But then, you cannot amass treasures. A shilling will only buy trinkets. But if you have the patience to collect many shillings you will shore up enough to pay for some real treasure., if you have the courage to spend 'at one go'.
Back to that question: what wakes you up at night'? How is this showing up in your life? Is it passion? Is it a problem or is it a solution? And what difference would doing something about it make to your life?
When you wake up tomorrow, will you be checking your account balance every couple of hours, just in case there is a deposit? Will you be looking at your phone every few minutes, just in case an important call comes through? Will you work 16 hours even if you could accomplish the same stuff in 10? Will you say yes to every one who asks for something for fear of disappointing someone?
Will you do things on purpose, for a purpose?

The story is told of a man who was faced by a problem. His mother and his wife, both of whom he loved dearly, were in mortal danger. He could only save one of them. Who would he choose? This story is repeated in many different ways. The bottom line is this: sometimes you are faced with situations where whatever you decide, someone's going to get hurt.
