Greetings!
Hi,
I was taking a walk the other night when my husband came home. He realised there was a problem with his car and decided to have it taken care of immediately. So he got into the house and left again, locking the door behind him. When I finished my walk I couldn't get in.
That reminded me of another incident some years back. We went away on a family holiday and got back to realise we had not locked the main door. Nothing was missing. It seems like no one realised it was open.
On another occasion I was home alone with my new baby. For some reason, I needed to use the bathroom frequently and I didn't want to lose sight of her. So I put her bassinet just outside the bathroom door to keep a constant eye on her.
When I am home alone, I take extra care to bolt the doors securely before I go to bed. I feel better knowing no one can come in without my permission. I don't think about someone coming in to help me.
Let's imagine doors represent possibilities, or opportunities.
What is the state of your doors? Are you leaving them open for someone else to come through and take away your stuff; like it happened to a friend in a city she thought was very secure? Are they so securely locked that no one can go out, or come in? Do you have the keys to your doors? Are the locks in good order? Are you consciously on the lookout for something or someone on the other side of the door?
Today, think about possibilities, and then think about how open you are to them.
