Fashion Week 2010

I had a call from a director making a promotional film and photo shoot for Fashion Week 2010. I was asked if
I would take something elegant and black in colour. I took a GPO 1/232 pyramid telephone. Although this was designed
in 1929 it looked great and every one thought it was wonderful. I spent a lot
of time handing out cards to strangers asking about it. The director was very
pleased with my choice and has asked if he can use one in a film he will be working on. See the film of the behind the

The very first year of production.
Very early GPO 162 (1930) I am selling a collection of very rare telephones for a friend and customer. This is just one of the very rare items he has for sale. I have never had a GPO 162 as early as this and it is rather special in a number of ways. Note the unusual cradle, this was only fitted to a very few early 162s and was soon replaced. This one has a metal plate CB plate and I have only ever seen this one. It also has a cast metal base and metal internal terminal black. I would recommend setting new listed items on your computer as Favourites
to make sure you see items first to give you the best chance of buying before it is seen by others. We have
lots of stock that is not restored yet and so if you have something in mind
that is not listed then Email me and I will restore it and reserve it
for you. There will be no obligation to buy as I will simply make it live on
the website.
Please note
all the telephones listed have a number of pictures and a full description that
can be found by clicking "More Details" at the bottom of each item
for sale. Because we don't limit ourselves to GPO or British telephones we
always have a very wide range to choose from. In the next few months I hope to
get on top of restorations so that many more items will be listed. I have a
number of cheaper option GECoPHONES that will be sold at reduced prices due to
repairs. We also have a number of Belgium Telephones that will be stripped and
rebuilt to enable great colours to be available. These are a very nice
telephone and will be priced from £195.
Much of my time is spent on repairing customers telephones bought on Ebay. They were sold as fully restored and working but I am afraid many are not and so customers have to pay twice. My advice in general is you get what you pay for.
