Project Aces
On Wednesday, May 23, Bridge School participated in Project ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously). All staff and students laced up their sneakers and headed out to the back parking lot where they were lead in activities to promote good health and physical education. Despite the drizzle and clouds Project ACES was a huge success on Wednesday, May 23rd. All grades stretched, moved and danced to the thumping sounds of Mr. Bosbach's exercises. The highlight was the 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade flash mob to Do Ri Me from the Sound of Music. Live to Move, Move to Live! For more information about Project ACES please visit their website.

Wishing Well Grants Make Great End-of-Year Gifts
| Thank a Bridge School staff member by granting their Wishing Well wish! The Wishing Well is closing for the school year on Jun 1, 2012. Our goal is to grant all of the staff's remaining wishes by that date. Kindly consider granting a wish for your child's teacher or one of the Bridge School staff members.
The following staff members still have Wishes left in the Wishing Well: Ms. Conway, Ms. Bean, Ms. Colby, and Ms. Croy.
If you would like to grant a wish (or get together with a group of parents to grant a wish), you may either purchase the wish item directly and give it to the teacher or you may send a check to the Bridge School PTA. Please put the name of the teacher and the wish in the memo section of your check before sending it along. There is a dedicated box for the Wishing Well on the PTA table. Contact Shannon Amsler for more information.
Wishes granted during this past week:
- Ms. Hinton's wish for books from the New England Mobile Book Fair was granted by the LaFond family.
- Ms. Hinton's wish for sight word puzzles was granted by the Sevigny family.
- Ms. Conway's wish for a Tabletop Communication Center was granted by the Fobid family.
- Ms. Croy's wish for Letter Tray Sand Formations was granted by the Sevigny family.
- Ms. Yee's wishes for computer speakers and a mailbox center were donated by the Marmier, Bruno, Choi and Wang families.
- Ms. Gates' wish for plastic storage bins was granted by the Mitzenmacher family.
Thank you for your generosity! More than 60 wishes have been granted this year!

Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts Huge Success!! | Thank you so much to all of the families who donated food, drinks, and paper goods and also to those who volunteered for clean-up and set-up this year at our Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts on May 9th and 16th.
The teachers and staff truly appreciate and enjoy this event so much! The breakfasts would not be possible without all of our wonderful Bridge Parents! Thank you again!

The STARs Are Out
| Thinking about end-of-year teachers' gifts? Consider purchasing a Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) STAR (Staff Teacher Appreciation and Recognition) Award certificate to thank and honor that special individual teacher or group of educators. STAR Awards are convenient, meaningful, and teachers love them! STAR Awards are handsome certificates that include your name and an optional personal message.
Individual Awards are $25 and Team or Group Awards (such as middle school teams or school administration staff) are $50. When you buy a STAR Certificate, your donation helps fund Lexington Education Foundation's comprehensive grants program.
Ordering is easy! Look for the yellow STAR Award Certificate order form in your child's backpack, a STAR letter in your home mailbox, or go to the LEF website.
Questions? Call the LEF office at 781/372-3288. Thank you for supporting the Lexington Public Schools!
The Lexington Education Foundation is not affiliated with the Lexington Public Schools.
