Bobbex
Deer Repellent is
the most effective long lasting spray on the market. It safely disrupts the foraging patterns of
deer and deters
them from browsing on your property.

If you hunger for the taste-memories of homegrown produce but don't know where to start or how, Charlie Nardozzi, radio host of the Vermont Garden Journal and author of Vegetable Gardening For Dummies will teach us about the fundamentals of vegetable gardening as well as disease identification and prevention and even share a delicious recipe or two! Bob Reidmuller from Oasis Water Efficient Gardens will close out the first hour with information on a dwarf succulent...Gasteria liliputana.
During the second hour, Jeff Lowenfels co-author (with Wayne Lewis) of Teaming with Microbes: The Organic Gardener's Guide to the Soil Food Web will help us understand the importance of beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa and nematodes in the soil because good soil supports healthy plant life. If you are having summer lawn problems, garden expert Lance Walheim has his stethoscope at the ready to diagnose and provide remedies. Call John, Sharon and Bryan with your questions at 1-866-606-TALK.

Raised Bed --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| My typical vegetable planting modus operandi is to purchase way more plants and seeds than my allocated plot allows, but fortunately my husband Bruce is a very understanding and empathetic man. After 47 years of marriage, he knows it is better to build another raised bed, rather than look at my forlorn face and hear my constant wishful sighs. The new bed is perfect (until my next plant purchasing binge)! For instructions on how Bruce made the new bed

Did You Know? __________________________________________________________________
| While Sonora Smart Dodd was listening to a Mother's Day sermon in Spokane, Washington in 1909, it inspired her to suggest a special day to honor fathers. Her father, William Jackson Smart, was a Civil War veteran who raised his six children alone after his wife died. The mayor of Spokane proclaimed the first Father's Day celebration on June 19, 1910 because that was Mr. Smart's birthday month. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson officially designated the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. Six years later, President Richard Nixon signed it into law, making Father's Day a permanent celebration. Traditionally fathers are given a red rose to wear on Father's Day if their fathers are alive or a white rose if deceased. Thanks to Sonora Dodd, we have a special day to celebrate our fathers.
