What is the Canadian Health Research Collection?

An online service for libraries, the CHRC provides a curated and regularly updated collection of significant monographs in French & English from Canadian research institutes, government agencies and university centres in the field of health and medical research.

There are over 7,500 titles in the current (2004-2011) collection, and the service provides more than 1,500 additional current documents to subscribers each year.

Access is universal, perpetual, and available equally to all library users in a system or institution, regardless of location. Any item in the collection is available to all users simultaneously, and sophisticated search tools allow for quick location of items of interest.

This newsletter offers a sampling of some key titles just delivered to subscribers in the current issue. Each hyperlink in the list on the right will take you to the title as displayed in the Preview site and the "Access PDF" link will take you to the document itself; this is an additional service provided to all CHRC subscribers.

You can see only the first few pages of each title in all documents in the collection on the CPPC Preview Site. IP authentication is required for full document viewing, but the search features are active to demonstrate the way a library user would interact with the collection.
