     It may very well be February and winter time according to the calendar, but it is way too warm for us here in Ojai to believe it.  While some of the mornings and evenings have a hint of winter and the last brief rain we had dusted the mountain tops with snow, it sure seems perfect.  The sun shines so much that if you wake up late you will miss the brisk morning and the beautiful pink glow on the clouds.  Writing this reminds me how lucky we are to be able to live and work in this magical valley!

Storytelling Festival A two-time Grammy award-winning artist,
recipient of a Lifetime
Achievement Award from the RI Council for the Humanities, Bill
uses song and story to paint a vibrant and hilarious picture of
growing up, schooling and family life. His work spans the
generation gap, reminds us of our common humanity and challenges
us to be our very best selves. A prolific author and recording artist,
Bill is also a regular commentator for NPR's "All Things Considered"
and featured on PBS. He joined the National Storytelling Network's
Circle of Excellence in 2001 and tours nationwide as an author,
performing artist and keynote speaker.

  • We have finished installing a new EMS (Energy Management System).  This system will monitor the heating and A/C units based on occupancy as well as allowing us to pre-heat & cool the rooms in severe weather conditions.  As we continue our path to a "Greener" hotel experience we look forward to your feedback on this new improvement as well.
  • Our new two bedroom family suite, suite 100, is complete and is now available to rent.  Each bedroom features a new wall mounted 47 inch flat screen in addition to a leather sofa that pulls out to a queen sleeper.
  •  We are also improving our bathrooms with deeper tubs and floor to ceiling shower surrounds.  These new bathrooms are more luxurious and are another improvement to create a better guest experience. We love our guest's feedback and we take your suggestions seriously.

The Concert hall  was built as an audio/video recording studio and it's acoustics have been compared to the famous "Capitol A"  studio at Capitol Records in LA by studio musicians who recorded there  many times. It's truly a great place to listen to great Jazz ! Don't worry about us being sold out as we can seat ( very comfortably) 600 jazz fans! We'll just add another chair for you!
