Start Gliders
Each Grade at Ideal Hardness
One of the best, and most unique, aspects of the Start glider line is that each Grade and Temp of Fluorocarbon glide wax is made independently and not just adding fluorocarbon to a base hydrocarbon. This allows each grade to have the optimal hardness with the added benefits of fluor
Thus HF, LF & FG are not softer than SG gliders!
But with around 20%, 10% and 5% Fluor content respectively they surely are faster!
Check out the Comprehensive Gliders Here
|

Why 5 Grades of Gliders? |
Because all skiers do not have the same goals! and because the Fluor line has enough Fluorocarbon to be called Low Fluor elsewhere, and the Low Fluor Line has enough Fluor to be called a High Fluor elsewhere... you get the point. |
SG Hydrocarbon
|
 | FG ~5% Fluor |
 | LF ~10% Fluor |
 | HF ~ 20% Fluor |
 | BM >20% Fluor + Moly, for Dirty, Abrasive & Man Made Snow |

Why Fluorocarbons?
Fluorocarbons have low coefficient of friction to make them slippery and a extreme negative charge which repels water, dirt and pine sap to keep the skis at their fastest as the km add up.
The negative charge increases the surface tension of water allowing it to bead up and act as speedy ball bearings rather than flatten out and act as slow suction cups. The greater the air's relative humidity or snow's water or dirt content the more FC's will increase ski speed immediately and over km's.

Nano Spherical Flour?
Spherical compounds with only Fluorine on the outside.
Nano in size to cover the base completely!
Delivering only Fluorine to ski-snow interface.
Lowest Coefficient of Friction
Greatest Negative Charge
Self Cleaning Waxes That Bead Water and Shed Dirt!

 |
Representation of N-series nano spherical particles with Florine amassed at outside surface.
Only Florine atoms (no carbon) are at the wax/snow interface.
|
|
Because they are spherical nano compounds. Two drop of N1 nano particles will cover an entire ski.

* η1 - nano-fluor liquid, for very wet snow, can be used under powder, or on top of the powder
* n2 - nano-fluor glider, -30 - 41°F for wet snow, can be used under powder
* η3 - nano-fluor liquid, for short distances, can be used on the top of the powder, or glider
* η4 - nano-fluor glider 21-30°F
* η5 - nano-fluor powder, for humid and wet snow conditions > 32°°F
* η6 - nano-fluor glider, for under finishing wax in 5-23°F
* η7 - nano-fluor powder, for humid snow,when the temperature is < 32°F
* η9 - nano-fluor block, - finishing, can be used under powder, or on top of the powder > 80% RH

"Start Greens"
5 options in Fluor at famous Green Hardness!
Start is famous for "Start Green" cold glider. "The wax that started the cold glider revolution." But Start has improved its line to offer 5 Fluor grades of Green each at the ideal Green hardness, so no compromises between Hardness and Fluor need be made again by any skier.
 | SG Green- HydroCarbon Glider |
 | FG Green ~5% Fluor |
 | LFGreen ~10% Fluor |
 | HF Green ~ 20% Fluor |
 | BM Green >20% Fluor + Moly, for Dirty Abrasive & Man Made Snow |
This fact, that each Grade/Temp of wax is made independently and not just by adding Fluor to a base HydroCarbon, is one of the best and most unique aspects of the Start's entire glider line.
This allows HF80 Green to be as hard as SG Green but with close to 20% Fluor so it has both massive moisture managing properties along with the best sharp crystal managing properties. (Many other wax brands get softer with higher Fluor content so skiers must make waxing and racing compromises between wax hardness and moisture or dirt management properties and test every grade of a brands wax to find the fastest.) With Start there are no compromises. This allows HF green to be the faster then SG Green day in and day out.

TERVA
Tar Kick Waxes
Auto Adjusting Kickers
For fine-grained, new snow. New snow often results in changing snow conditions making it difficult to get kick. New crystals are also sharp and therefore more prone to penetrate and then remain in any soft wax layer resulting in "icing".
Tar waxes are exceptionally suitable for new snow conditions, since the tar adapts its hardness with small temperature fluctuations, increasing the range of snow conditions in which the wax can be used while also decreasing the risk of icing because the outermost surface becomes harder than the underlayers.
The tar wax mixtures are relatively soft, and invariably require a base wax to be used to increase durability and migration. Tar waxes are harder when they are cooled, and thus always need to be applied outside so they can be applied in thin discrete layers. This will also aid in their effectiveness. In general Tars are easy to use because they automatically adjust to small temperature changes.

and they smell great!

Racing Fluor Kickers
4 Waxes that cover the range!
Softer than normal with extra Fluor for glide
plus thermoplastics properties that harden and soften with temps.

Black Magic Kickers
Black Magic Molybdenum kick waxes are used as finishing and blending waxes, suitable for wearing and variable snow conditions:
* Black Magic Molybdenum Fluor kick wax, humidity > 75%
* Black Magic Molybden kick wax, humidity < 75%
* BM Klister, humidity between 55% and 100%
