NCCSEF invests $43,000 in Six Cross Country Ski Racing Projects
The National Cross Country Ski Education Foundation (NCCSEF) will invest $43,000 in six cross-country ski racing projects for its first round of 2010/2011 season funding. These strategic investments are made to assist American athletes in their long-term pursuit of international racing success.

The NCCSEF promotes the development of U. S. cross-country ski racing through its support of activities that challenge and enable athletes to achieve higher competitive goals and of efforts that will lead to success in international competitions. Sean McCabe, husband to U.S. Olympian Laura McCabe, was an award-winning art teacher, climber and avid cross-country skier. Combining his vocation in art with his outdoor interests, Sean established himself as a unique artist portraying these outdoor sports with his colorful and sometimes whimsical style. Sean completed his Fine Arts degree at the University of Utah. His graphic designs can be seen on The North Face, Patagonia, and Black Diamond clothing labels. Sean's illustrations have been featured in American Alpine Journal, Climbing Magazine and the Alpinist. Sean was also the recipient of a prestigious Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award in 2001.
Sean lived in Mazama Washington in the Methow Valley of north-central Washington state and is survived by his wife Laura and his two young daughters. His inspiring artwork is available at SeanMcCabestudio.com |

YELLOWSTONE SKI FESTIVAL
November 23 - 27, 2010
Join thousands of skinny skis in West Yellowstone, Montana for a week-long celebration of cross-country skiing. Olympic athletes to first timers descend on this small, mountain town to make their first tracks of the season over the Thanksgiving holiday on perfectly groomed corduroy. With the fourth Thursday in November falling late in the month, another successful snow packed festival is anticipated.
