A Message from The Global Partners Group

There are many things that contribute to a person's success in network marketing.

However, if had to look back over the years and determine what were the turning points for the majority of people I worked with and what were some of the biggest turning points for me in my business, it was.....

Going to convention!

There is no better way that one can mingle with other leaders than in a single event where they all come together.

I have seen peoples' businesses literally change from one week to the next because of attending convention. There is always something you will learn that you can take home with you that can move you up the ranks faster than if you stayed at home. Even at my level, I still learn something new that I can use to make my business even bigger.

This is the opportunity for you to be trained from people who are in the field making things happen, who have built organizations in the tens of thousands.

I have actually seen high end coaches that charge $500 - $1000 an hour for their time and training resources. Believe or not, some coaches and authors have never built a networking business or if they have, not built a successful business. I always suggest, check out what they have done before you hire a coach. What they have accomplished is what you can expect to learn from them. This year, you will have 9 hours of training at the Global Partners' Masters Series from the Ambassadors and Presidentials that have actually started their business from the ground up. Some of us have actually had 20-30 years of experience!

You now have the opportunity to attend an event where leaders have collectively made millions and millions of dollars in this industry for a very small entry fee.

In over 30 years in this industry, I have never missed a convention, and attribute that to my success. I know that this is part of my business. If I am doing well in the business, I need to be there to support others. If I am not doing well, I need to be there to learn what else I can do. I was not an overnight success in network marketing, but by going to the conventions, I was able to speed up the process of going to the top.

When you go to conventions, you need to take really good notes, but also meet the people who are in the positions you would like to be in. Talk to them. Ask them what their story was, how they built their business. There are no magical formulas, but it could be just refining your invitation or your presentation that will make the difference.

Hearing other people's stories will inspire you on to your own greatness! It's always amazed me that ordinary people can do extraordinary things, if they are inspired. You may connect to someone's experience and think I could do that!

Prior to convention, I always think what rank do I want to be by convention. That alone inspires me to move faster towards that rank. There will be a lot of recognition this year and I would love to see YOU in the limelight!

My goal for you is success in this business. I want you to succeed, but you must take the action. If you are willing to take the small step to attend the upcoming convention, it will change your life, and your business.

There is a sure path to success in this business, and it's to do what those who walk the path most traveled, not the path you had to mow down. Follow the ones that have actually been in the trenches and made it happen.

Make the decision today to change your business for the better. Invest in your business, invest in you. You are so worth it, and so is your business.

The Dirty Little Secret Of Overnight Successes

( Thank you to Platinum Executive, Burrell Cross for sending this in)

Angry Birds, the incredibly popular game, was software maker Rovio's 52nd attempt. They spent eight years and nearly went bankrupt before finally creating their massive hit. James Dyson failed in 5,126 prototypes before perfecting his revolutionary vacuum cleaner. Groupon was put on life support and nearly shut down at one point in its meteoric rise.

When looking at the most successful people and organizations, we often imagine geniuses with a smooth journey straight to the promised land.

But when you really examine nearly every success story, they are filled with crushing defeats, near-death experiences, and countless setbacks.

We often celebrate companies and individuals once they've achieved undeniable success, but shun their disruptive thinking before reaching such a pinnacle. Before Oprah was Oprah, before Jobs was Jobs, they were labeled as misguided dreamers rather than future captains of industry.

In your life, you've probably had a setback or two. When you stumble, it's tempting the throw in the towel and accept defeat. There's always an attractive excuse waiting eagerly, hoping you'll take the easy way out.

But the most successful people forge ahead. They realize that mistakes are simply data, providing new information to adjust your approach going forward.

The ubiquitous WD-40 lubricant got its name because the first 39 experiments failed. WD-40 literally stands for "Water Displacement--40th Attempt." If they gave up early on like most of us do, we'd sure have a lot more squeaky hinges in the world. You have a mission to accomplish and an enormous impact to make. You will inevitably endure some "failures" along your journey, but you must realize that persistence and determination have always been primary ingredients in accomplishment.

Don't cave to your mistakes, embrace them. In fact, mistakes are simply to the portals of discovery. There's an old saying that "every bull's-eye is the result of a hundred misses." So the next time you feel the sting of failure, just realize you're likely one shot closer to hitting your target.

And who knows? Maybe after a few dozen failures and months or years of hard work, you might just be that next "overnight" success.

Leaders on the Move!

I have a wonderful story to share about a new business builder on my team, Grant Williamson. At Christmas, several of my cousins got together for a visit. Grant's daughter had breast cancer surgery in November. Alternative therapies and a nutrient packed diet was chosen for her rather than traditional chemotherapy and radiation. I offered to take Kelly for some chelation therapy sessions to give support to the family.

When I took Kelly home after one of the sessions, I noticed a tin of protein shake on the counter. I told Grant about our high antioxidant wellness shake. He is very well informed on nutrition and was excited when he learned more about it. Little did I know at the time, that the business would be of great interest to him as well. Grant wanted to enroll and take advantage of the special, and also wanted to wait until the timing for his credit card was better. I asked if he knew of anyone else who might be interested in learning more about Xocai while he was waiting. Thank you cheques are one of the ways we earn money and he could earn money right away if he wanted to. A few days later, Grant said we had an appointment at 7:00 pm that evening.  I thought it was going to be a 3 way call.   Instead, we got into the car and drove 15 min. to their house. Oh, other friends were there too! We sat around the kitchen table, talked about chocolate interspersed with how we all knew each other and by the end of the evening, both of the couples we were visiting wanted to enroll as business builders! They trusted Grant, a life long friend, and they valued good nutrition.

Grant enrolled later that evening, and the next day he had two business builders to work with. I showed him the 3in3 program and asked him to make a list of other people who might be interested. Within a few days, Grant let me know that Norma wanted more information. I met with her at a coffee shop while Grant was at work. She too trusted Grant and decided that this would be a good thing for her and enrolled as a business builder as well.

Now, Grant had 10 days to find just one more business builder and qualify for ETE. In spite of a very busy life style and many family obligations, Grant found his 4th business builder in time to qualify for ETE.

His daughter, Kelly, where this story started, enrolled just before the deadline date and is now a proud Xocai member. We have been having regular chocolate tastings and watching Grant's team grow as we share the story of xocai. From enrollment to just five weeks into the business, Grant is half way qualified for the Alaskan Cruise! Our team's goal is to help Grant qualify for the Alaskan Cruise by May 13.

Congratulations, Grant, on such a powerful start to your xocai business.
