The Importance of Being Teachable and Developing your Skills
Over the twenty five years in this life changing industry, we have had the opportunity to see it all, hear it all and most importantly, experience most of it. I know there will be more to experience because that is just a fact of life.
We often talk about being teachable, and remembering that everyone comes into this industry at different skill levels. Being teachable and skill level go hand in hand. You cannot attain a certain skill level without being teachable in anything.
The definition of developing a skill is:
A job or activity that requires training and practice, especially skill gained by training/or from natural ability. Proficiency that is acquired or developed overtime through training, teaching or experience (doing). An ability and capacity acquired through deliberate, systematic and sustained effort to smoothly and adaptively carry out an activity or function involving ideas, things and/or people skills (interpersonal skills)
The training provided here at The Global Partners Group is unsurpassed. The leaders at GPG have over 100 years of very successful Network Marketing experience. We are here to help you practice and perfect your skill sets, your people skills, your story telling, and to instill a belief in yourself that it is all possible and that a great life is waiting for you, and is just around the corner. But it is all up to you. You and only you will decide how long it will take to perfect your skill. We all bring a different skill set at different skill levels coming into this industry. But you have to be teachable, no matter how successful you were in your last profession or business. Network Marketing is an industry and a profession that is different than anything else, because we are in the people business, and we work with people from different cultures, backgrounds, belief levels, and yes, skill levels. Some are teachable and some are not. Just a fact of life. You work with those that are teachable.
Will you be teachable? Will you practice every day to perfect your skill at growing a great business? Will you work on growing yourself and developing your strengths as well as the areas that need a bit of help?
You have an incredible opportunity to take your business to a whole new level by doing whatever it takes to get yourself and your distributors to the Master Series event in Reno. This is the event of the year.
Someone said to me the other day, "I really would love to come but I can't afford it". How badly do they want it? Walk a few dogs a week, clean a couple of houses, babysit a few children, register a few new distributors and use your quick checks, sell a few items in your home you no longer use or need. Have a garage sale! We did. I remember selling "stuff" in my home just to start in this industry over 25 years ago because we were barely making it month to month. We were given an opportunity to change it. I wasn't going to let "not being able to afford it" stop us from having an amazing future. I remember rooming with 5 people in one hotel room to make it happen for us. You do what it takes to have a better life. You do what it takes to perfect your skills. It is all up to YOU.

When we did not even think that was an option. Then he can join me!

40 years at 8 hours or 4 years at 1 hour
Home based businesses are turning hundreds of everyday, ordinary people into wealthy ones, and dozens into millionaires. Most businesses are simple, fun, and require very little time, experience or initial cash to get started.
So what's the problem? Well, as is so often the case, fear and worry are the biggest dream stealers and success killers. Excuses like "I don't have the time", "I'm not sure what my friends or family will think", "I'm not a salesperson", and other similar fear-based mind-chatter are the biggest self-defeating emotions in our lives. FEAR is the anticipation of PAIN. What would happen if you put aside those fears and focused on all the pleasure it would bring you to be healthy, wealthy and happy?
Try the "ONE-HOUR SOLUTION". You don't have to quit your job, change careers or take on any great risk. But there is a catch! The catch is that you must actually spend an entire, non-interrupted hour, each day (Mon-Fri) doing the most critical activities that move your business forward. In most businesses that would be Prospecting for new people and Presenting your business to new people. Most people squander their time by doing all kinds of other activities that are not "money-producing".
Now this four years may not be easy. There will be a learning curve for some, many bumps in the road, disappointments and challenges. But doing this 1 hour solution can bring you financial independence. Do it without fear or worry of any kind. Just focus on the rewards. If you do, within 2 years you will be on your way to financial independence. In 4 years you could probably retire rich (and be enjoying lunch with the Warren Buffets of the world)!
So let's compare. Either you work 4 years for 1 hour per day and retire rich like 3% of the world. Or work 40 years at 8 hours per day and retire broke like the 97%.
So, what's it going to be? Four years hard-labor, or life in prison?

I have been enjoying eating and sharing chocolate for the past 4 months. It all began when my friend, Gail, popped a nugget in my mouth and started to tell me how healthy it was.
