Welcome to a brand new year! We wish you a wonderful 2012, full of joy and blessings. Go ahead and affirm that 2012 is going to be your best year yet !
I am sure many of you have heard the Internet rumours about 2012, or saw the movie 2012 starring John Cusak as a man trying to survive the end of the world.
The cycles of the Mayan calendar are partly blamed for this look at Global change, some predict the collapse of our civilization and others predict a time of renewal and spiritual growth.
The truth is that we never know what is going to happen, but we do know, that if our intention is to allow greatness, love, promise and prosperity into our lives, that is what we will attract and experience.
I always love the new year because of the promise of new and exciting things.
For some, 2011 was a wonderful year, filled with happiness, prosperity and accomplishments.
For others, the best part of 2011 is that it is over!!
Now, regardless of the year we have just left behind, we are all presented with a clean new slate to write on. We can align ourselves with our own heart desires, we can see love and prosperity, joy and abundance around us and then will experience it.
One of the things I like to do at the beginning of each New Year is create a book of "Positive Aspects"
At the top of each page I write down the name of some thing (like my business) or someone (like a family member ) or someplace ( like my country) and then I write down all of the things I like about it or them, all of the positives I can think about, then, if sometimes I get down I read the list, I can't be upset with my government when I read my list of all the positive things I love about my country.
One of the people you should start your book off with is yourself. What do you like about yourself? What have you accomplished? What are your strengths? Kindness, caring about others, openness to new things, hard worker, fun person...list them all. Then on days when you are feeling low, read your list. Soon you will find yourself adding new "positive aspects' about yourself.
At one time in my life, I decided to remove toxic people from my life, I put that affirmation out there, and I was surprised at who left!
On the recent cruise I heard a leader say that "Negative" people are like the "Free Radicals" of life, and positive people are the "Anti Oxidants," I really like that, so I now see myself as an Anti Oxidant, what a concept.!!
To me "negative" people are like toxic weeds, I need to "weed" them out of my garden,( my life) but I have found in my chocolate business, the negative people will usually weed themselves out, they can't stand to be around the "positive, affirming, happy" nature of the "chocolate people" The Anti Oxidants!!! When someone leaves my business, I just see it as becoming weed free!
What if the "negative" person is a parent, leader, spouse or distributor,and you really can't get them out of your life...then put them in your book of "positive aspects.' Write down all of the things you admire about them, that they are good at, that they have, can or will accomplish, then, every time you have to deal with that person, read your list first, suddenly you will find that the more you concentrate on what you like about them, the more things you will see that you like, the things you didn't like about them, may still be there, but you will no longer be aware of them.
We are always told that we can only change ourselves, but the truth is we can make significant changes in the world around us. One of the best ways we can do that, is to decide to only see what is "good" in our world, to see the "Positive Aspects" of it, to align ourselves with the picture of our hearts desire, of being surrounded by love, peace, health and prosperity and suddenly we have not only changed ourselves, we have made changes in the world around us, our garden, our business, our home, one step at a time, one person at a time.
Be a powerful "Anti Oxidant" yourself and you will find your 2012 will be your best year so far!!!
