Getting Back Up When You've Been

Knocked Down

Sandy Chambers Headshot - Revised

Life is full of challenges. We all face them, and we all are hit by them at times in life. There is one thing I know, and that is you can determine the character of a man or woman by the reaction they have to adversity. We all will have our varying reactions to different situations. There is certainly time to deal with them and handle them in the appropriate manner.

In the end the most important thing you can do is, get back up, dust yourself off, and go back to it again.

Some people have very little tolerance for adversity and challenges. Those people will usually do everything they can to run away from it and not deal with it. There are those that get paralyzed by the challenge and do nothing. And finally you have the ones that have the adversity, deal with it, and get right back up and go to it again. One person I highly respect as a business person is Donald Trump who publicly was humiliated when he lost millions of dollars to the point of bankruptcy. You can't get more public than that.

It wasn't very long before he was right back up again, on top of his game. There is always a reason for gratitude. Donald Trump once said he was in the hole by millions, and at that time he saw a homeless man on the street and thought to himself, he has millions of dollars more than me!

My challenge to you is to be a part of the 3rd group, the ones that get back up and go to it again. In your business, you will face challenges, you will face setbacks, and you will fail at times. However, your response is what will ultimately take you off track, or keep you on.Make the decision now, before challenges arise what your reaction will be when it comes.

It's much easier to deal with the situation or disappointment when you have already made a decision as to how you will deal with.

A big key to dealing with adversity and challenges is turn yourself into a

problem solver.

The greatest leaders are problem solvers and not problem evaders. A leader will get advice in a timely fashion from those who have gone on the path before them.

You have to get to a point where you expect challenges in your business. It's  guaranteed that you will have them.

Make the decision now as to how you will react when you get a "NO"! Make a decision now how you are going to react when a family member makes fun of you for being an entrepreneur. Make a decision now as to how you will react when you are pushing to reach a goal, and you just fall short at the last minute! People that are successful learn to take disappointments and use them as fuel to ultimately get to the destination.

My question for you today is this, "How will you handle adversity when it comes?"

Please leave some comments below and let me know as I would love to see how I can help you.

See you at the top,

Sandy Chambers, Ambassador - Winnipeg, Manitoba

My Experience Achieving GOLD

& Attending the April Gold Fly In

Lorraine G

Achieving the Gold rank was a goal I set for myself in 2010. Persistence, belief and desire.....these are the key elements you must have to keep moving forward.  The bonus is, we have the opportunity with our amazing company and product, to not only create the life of our dreams, but to be part of a mission, purpose and vision much larger than ourselves.

Attending the Gold Fly in was an amazing experience-- It was incredible to spend quality time with the Brooks family and the great leaders in our company, and to also build new friendships and learn from the other Golds from Europe, US and Canada.  I recommend that each and every one of you who is passionate about sharing what we have, to "Go For Gold" and beyond!

I always thought we had something pretty special, but after this experience, I absolutely know we have an amazing future!

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Jon Alison Haugan

Three years ago, we found Xocai at Barnes and Noble via a Success from Home magazine.  Not really believing that healthy chocolate could actually taste good, let alone be a good network marketing business, we decided to drive to Reno to find out.  After meeting Jeanette and the MXI Leadership and tasting the chocolate, we were sold.

At the time, we owned a technology company that had been very successful, having made Inc. Magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America list.  However, we also had experienced some significant challenges that left us unhappy and unhealthy, one of which included Jon having a heart attack.  Not only did we know we needed to find a way to get healthier but we also wanted a back up plan to our primary business.

For a couple of years we just ate the chocolate - while we had planned to work the business side, we found ourselves unable to really focus on it due to current obligations.  However, we did share with a few folks to start things out and things began to grow.  This past fall, things shifted with the introduction to an acquaintance who took this on with full force.  We went from a fast track executive to Bronze in 6 weeks and then to Silver two weeks after that.  Our new friend, Lucy Beal, went from fast track executive to Bronze in the same period!  It was awesome!!  We got motivated.

Jon has lost 30lbs on the xProtein meal, he's happier and he doesn't have the aches and pains he used to have.   His doctors are happy with his heart health and he can't believe how good he feels.  Alison, a lifelong chocoholic, replaced the bad stuff with Xocai, and no longer has cravings, feels better and just had the first visit to a dentist in literally years where she didn't need some kind of sedative or numbing topical gel just to get her teeth cleaned.  For both of us, we can't believe how bad we feel when we don't eat healthy or when we veer off the xProtein meal!  In fact, food used to be our "entertainment" and we're amazed at how much more time and money we have now!!

Although our technology company is on a path to success, we find ourselves happier and committed to growing our MXI business.  We see it as a phenomenal back up plan for us and/or Plan B.  More so, we have the most fun and reward by helping others create their own "plan B" and watching the transformation of those who step out to achieve their dreams.  No amount of money equals the joy or honor of witnessing that type of courage - and working with them!

Testimonial:

"I have been in the health/wellness industry for nearly two decades and the most inspiring career transition I made within that field was my decision to purchase my own Xocai Healthy Chocolate business. It began solely as my plan B for success, but since then I've discovered that my coaching skills and experience are being utilized in ways I had never anticipated or imagined!! Yet, healthy chocolate took on a whole new meaning for me when a family health issue surfaced within the first two months of my startup. My 20 year old son was referred to a cardiologist for a heart-related issue-news that fell hard on me at the time because my 65-year old father passed away in 2000 from complications after a heart attack. There I was, a decade later, watching my young and seemingly healthy son begin his own treatment process. It inspired me to dig so much more deeply into heart health as it relates to the research and science of raw, unprocessed cacao.  I was totally in awe of what I found! In my work, I have spent years focused on heart health and optimism, with the message of finding our "optimistic solutions" and helping people shift away from pessimism and a problem-mindset. Xocai has enabled me to stay true to my message by focusing on the solution of high antioxidant consumption as being effective in supporting and protecting the body's systems. As I see it, Xocai helps us all to look at our solutions...and to step away from a focus on the "problem" of pain and suffering, whether it is a health or a financial "problem." This INSPIRED me to no end!! I jumped in with more passion and purpose and my business is taking off as a result!  I have since founded the "Hearts for Chocolate Campaign" as my contribution to educating, informing and inspiring ALL ages about heart health as it pertains to the research and science of chocolate. Xocai is my family's optimistic solution for  heart health, overall wellness and, beginning in 2011, I have decided that my Xocai

Healthy Chocolate business is now MY PLAN A FOR SUCCESS!"
