A MESSAGE FROM IAN & JUDY MURRAY
The quote, "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care" is really what building loyalty is all about. Growing a healthy organization that will stay together through thick and thin is all about trust, caring, nurturing and truly taking the dollar signs off people's foreheads and helping them to see success as soon as possible. It's the small successes that are important initially. The first quick check, the first couple of business associates, their first bonus check.
Its important people see success for themselves by using and engaging in the system. This will give them the belief and the confidence in themselves to move forward. Work with the ones that want this. Work with the people that are engaged. Find out what inspires them and watch their eyes light up. Everyone has dreams and goals. Find out what their strengths are. Find out what areas that they would like to develop. By giving them the tools, the resources and working their plan together is a partnership. We are all partners here. Let us know how we can help. Let your sponsor and up-line support team help you. We will never know if you don't ask. From the leaders corner: BUILDING ESTEEM IN OTHERS
Remember that about 90% of what people do is prompted by the desire to feel important. There are ways you can make others feel important.Be Accepting - Accept others totally and without judgment. The world was designed to accommodate a variety of personalities and talents. Accept people for who and what they are. ADVERTISE YOUR ACCEPTANCE WITH A SMILE. SHOW APPROVAL - Be generous with your praise. Praise is most effective when given intermittently and immediately after the desirable act.SHOW APPRECIATION - Treat others as if they were guests in your home. Compliment people on what they're wearing, on things you admire about them. BE SURE YOUR COMPLIMENTS ARE TRUE AND SINCERE.NEVER CRITICIZE - Negative criticism is destructive and it's something the receiver never forgets.LISTEN - When you listen to what others have to say, you'll find out what they value and what they like. Listening builds character in the listener.Building others' self-esteem is the key to happy interactions with others. Interacting with others is a key to your own happiness. Studies show that 85% of human joy comes from getting along with others.

Make every day count! Ian & Judy Murray

IN THE SPOTLIGHT!
What an incredible journey this has been so far....and the best is yet to come! My background could not be any further from Network Marketing. For 17 years I worked with adults with acquired brain injuries. I loved my work, but it was extremely draining, all my patience was consumed during work hours, little time with my kids and husband, crazy commutes to Toronto and overall not very happy. MY FAMILY IS MY WHY!!!! Three years ago I was finishing up a maternity leave, and doing a comparison of the cost of child care vs. staying at home, plus I just wanted to be the one to raise my kids. That is when I joined MXI. I was intrigued by the idea to work the business part-time from home, but still went back to work...Pregnancy for baby number #4 was exceptional since I was consuming healthy chocolate regularly. No pain or numbness that I had experienced previously. I had a strong personal testimonial, and was very passionate that I wanted to share this with every pregnant woman, and the rest of the world. I had decided to take a serious look at the business side since I would be in debt going back to work with the cost of child care, and then life got in the way. Roughly a year ago I started to focus on this. This was a huge step. I do not have a constant flow of new people, I had exhausted the warm market, and I needed to look at what worked for ME! There are many wonderful people in this business but I am very fortunate to have Janet Hurley by my side. She is my mentor and chocolate momma! She does this business with integrity and heart. When they say 90% of the people you will build your business with, you do not know yet...this is the absolute truth. Some of my closest friends I have met through my healthy chocolate business. I am very grateful everyday for all of the people who have touched my life and worked closely with me.This last promotion I made a plan with my team to move fast and furious. I had the opportunity to meet some incredible people this past month that have come into my business, and are ready to take climb the chocolate mountain. As a new Bronze my best advice is to make a plan to move quickly and efficiently up the chocolate mountain! Get to Bronze and help your team do the same. Chocolate mountain - don't stop till you get to the top1. Easier to pull up to the top than push from behind2. Stand too long in one place, the chocolate will melt and will start to slip3. May get hungry and get weighed down...unless you are on the high antioxidant wellness system Last but not least, 4... There is an incredible view waiting to be seen.

Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow
by Jim Rohn
The problem with waiting until tomorrow is that when it finally arrives, it is called today. Today is yesterday's tomorrow. The question is what did we do with its opportunity? All too often we will waste tomorrow as we wasted yesterday, and as we are wasting today. All that could have been accomplished can easily elude us, despite our intentions, until we inevitably discover that the things that might have been have slipped from our embrace a single, unused day at a time.
Each of us must pause frequently to remind ourselves that the clock is ticking. The same clock that began to tick from the moment we drew our first breath will also someday cease.
Time is the great equalizer of all mankind. It has taken away the best and the worst of us without regard for either. Time offers opportunity but demands a sense of urgency. When the game of life is finally over, there is no second chance to correct our errors. The clock that is ticking away the moments of our lives does not care about winners and losers. It does not care about who succeeds or who fails. It does not care about excuses, fairness or equality. The only essential issue is how we played the game.
Regardless of a person's current age, there is a sense of urgency that should drive them into action now-this very moment. We should be constantly aware of the value of each and every moment of our lives-moments that seem so insignificant that their loss often goes unnoticed.
We still have all the time we need. We still have lots of chances, lots of opportunities, lots of years to show what we can do. For most of us, there will be a tomorrow, a next week, a next month, and a next year. But unless we develop a sense of urgency, those brief windows of time will be sadly wasted, as were the weeks and months and years before them. There isn't an endless supply!
So, as you think of your dreams and goals of your future tomorrow, begin today to take those very important first steps to making them all come to life.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT
When I joined MXI in April 2007, I KNEW that this was an unbelievable opportunity to create the life I wanted for myself and my family. The more I learned about the integrity of the Brooks family, and the more I got to know and respect Judy and Ian, Paula and Kathy and the many great leaders in our business, the more excited I became. The belief in myself has grown (and keeps growing) but began with 6 valuable years with my experience in Direct Sales with the Pampered Chef. I continue to read the many books suggested by our leaders, which has helped me in a variety of ways. My business has grown slowly these past three years, but this year in January, I shifted my thinking, and I hope that what I share will inspire many of you who are not yet where you want to be in your business....
In January I DECIDED, this was going to be the year I achieved Gold, and was going to push harder than ever. When the cruise was announced I decided I want that too! so I could treat my husband who has been so supportive. It is amazing when you decide something what synchronistic events transpire! Mine began with mentoring with Jeanette--A huge privilege which brought accountablity and more consistency. I saw progress. These things were also key: 30/90 day rule; networking to meet new people; forming Mastermind groups/support groups, inside and outside my business with team, upline, crossline and friends; connecting with people off autoship; engaging in the calls; reading the books; The Power Hour; consistency and perserverance; Visualization and affirmations ( I highly recommend the book, The Answer!); Lastly, I am learning to be bolder, more confident, and to let go of the fear and doubt, and to embrace the "I can and will!"
Thank you to Sandy Chambers for sharing your talk about the "11th hour," which helped me many times during the past two weeks, and giving up was not an option! I could not have done this without the love and support of my family and friends, upline, and team who all wanted this for me as much for me as I did myself. Special thanks my husband Mike, my children, Madison and Cody, and to Beverley, Nancy and Debbie (its your turn!) Lets keep going!
