Session: Enterprise Income Verification System

Description: This session was designed to address the
confusion that has greeted the introduction of the Enterprise Income Verification system. Participants will explore all aspects of the system's implementation. The EIV Workshop centers around HUD Notice H2010-10 and includes a sample EIV policy developed by NCHM, case studies, and a close look at various EIV reports and how they are to be used. Special attention is paid to EIV in the context of a Management and Occupancy Review (MOR).

Description: This session will provide participants with a working background in the requirements of the Fair Housing Act and other important civil rights statutes that pertain to Fair Housing compliance. The Fair Housing Act covers rental housing properties with more than four units. It makes no distinction between federally assisted housing and market rate housing. If you are involved with a federal housing program, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act applies as well. This session can be the difference between compliance and non-compliance; between expensive lawsuits and reduced liability.
