There are now two new camera head options for the PILIT™ Pipe Inspection Camera. A new wide-angle camera head with a 90° field of view and a side view mirror attachment. The wider field of view camera head is only 1.0 in. (25.0mm) in diameter. The wide-angle camera is quickly swapped out with the standard camera head that is included with the PILIT™.

The wide-angle camera head is ideal for inspecting smaller pipe diameters where the condition of the pipe walls is of primary concern. The side view attachment also allows for close inspection of the sidewalls. The wide angle camera head is perfect for applications such as inspecting boiler tubes, heat exchanger pipes, high purity piping. Scale, pitting corrosion, cracking and other defects can quickly be seen.

AIT now offers some of the smallest diameter flexible borescopes ever! The super thin micro borescopes are offered in diameters from 0.35 to 2.4 mm (0.14 in to 0.094). Standard lengths for the flexible scopes are 50 and 100 cm (19.6 and 39.3 in.). The high image resolution is due to the best quality quartz fibers and German optics. The new micro borescopes quickly connect to video recording media.

Applications for the micro borescopes include inspection inside castings, machined parts, aircraft components, small tubes, bore holes, circuit boards and other manufactured parts. AIT's new high-resolution micro borescopes allow engineers to check for pitting, cracking, corrosion, erosion, weld and other defects.
