Dear (Contact First Name),
Life on the streets is pretty tough when you're my size. It makes me sad to talk about what happened to me, but I know that my happy ending started when a good Samaritan brought me into the local shelter. The nice officers took one look at my jaw and knew I would need extra-special care so they sent me off to Pets Unlimited. In the hospital, I met a very nice doctor and she made some phone calls and all of a sudden, I was in a car to a place called UC Davis. After two surgeries to fix my jaw, I started to feel better. I could eat crunchy food! And bark! And chew bones! I wasn't a scared, broken stray anymore - I felt like myself again. A few weeks later, I met my new best friend, Nick, who promised to keep me as safe as I have been at Pets Unlimited. And while I will miss my family here, I can't wait to go home as a lucky dog with a new lease on life and a whole lot of people who love me.
