Adopt...
This past fall, a petite tan & white Chihuahua mix was brought to our hospital by a good Samaritan after being hit by a car. Suffering from a broken pelvis and in need of extensive hip surgery, Pets Unlimited came to her rescue.
During her recovery from surgery, this little lady named Tofu began to show how fearful of people she was - scared of hands and even eye contact, she would growl and shake whenever a staff member passed her kennel. Once in our shelter program, the staff developed a training plan for Tofu and soon enough, volunteers and staff alike were vying for Tofu's affection as she began to wiggle into laps with confidence and kisses. It is a rare dog that can completely turn around against the odds, but Tofu did just that!
We're proud to say that Tofu found her forever home this spring with a loving family and is as spunky and confident as ever! Although the staff at Pets Unlimited miss her companionship, these are the stories we work so hard for - a dog in need finding her happy ending at last, with a little help from her friends.

Volunteer...
It's no secret that we think our volunteer team members excel at their dog and cat handling skills. But what you may not realize is what a talented bunch of bakers we have in our midst - come sample the red velvet cupcakes and see for yourself! Not only that, we also have a happy horde of cookie hawkers ready to help sell these delectable goods at our quarterly bake sales.
The Pets Unlimited bake sales that take place just outside our front door, are important fundraisers for the Shelter and Adoption Center - we consistently raise more than $1,000 in a single day! We are so touched by the great generosity of folks in our community passing by and helping out. Many donate but do not take anything at all and others give as much as $20 for a single cookie. Bake sale days at Pets Unlimited are a real feel-good affair with everyone coming together to help make life better for our shelter cats and dogs. Be sure to stop by our Spring Bake Sale on May 21st and see for yourself!

Foster...
The Glee Kittens arrived in early February from a high population shelter in the Bay Area. Healthy upon their arrival, the kittens began showing signs of severe upper respiratory infection not long after entering their foster home. Their dedicated foster mom nursed them around the clock until it became clear they required hospitalization at Pets Unlimited. Puck, Finn, and Sue fully recovered thanks to our medical team's compassionate care and returned to their foster home for more TLC until they were big enough to be adopted.
Without the constant love and savvy expertise of their foster mom, these kittens wouldn't have had the second chance they needed to become healthy and happy cats!
