Adopt...

After being seized from her owner by Oakland Animal Services following allegations of abuse and neglect, Pets Unlimited was contacted to rehabilitate Bea and give her a new lease on life.
Although barely recognizable as the beautiful Silky Terrier she was, Beatrix never lost her affectionate and lovable wag despite all she had been through. After a double mastectomy, dental, spay and removal of her right eye, Beatrix was ready to find a forever home with the support of the entire Pets Unlimited team. Not quite the beauty queen she is now, this sweet girl was passed over time and time again until she finally met her future mother, Laura, who saw the beautiful dog underneath it all.
Now, Bea is loving life as a spoiled city-dog, growing out her luxurious locks, and continuing to impress her owner daily by gaining confidence and showing off that famous wag to whomever is around! Beatrix's story is a perfect example of why Pets Unlimited chooses to help the underdogs shed their hard-knock life for a chance at hope and a loving home - because every animal deserves it.

Volunteer...
One of our amazing volunteer dog walkers, Jennifer, recently approached us with an exciting grant opportunity for the growing Humane Education Program at Pets Unlimited. On behalf of her many hours of volunteering as a dog walker and bake sale whiz, The Morgan Stanley Foundation selected Pets Unlimited as a recipient of a $3,000 grant in support of our Humane Education Program!
Due to budget and space constraints, our Humane Education Program can only serve up to 50 students per year, one quarter of all students who submit applications and are interested in participating. With this recent support from Morgan Stanley, we can finally increase our humane education outreach to local San Francisco schools. In just a few short weeks of this pilot program, we have touched over 150 students and counting!
None of this work would be possible without Jennifer's wonderful support, thank you so much from all of us a Pets Unlimited!

Foster...
These two tiny mixed breed puppies came to our shelter with extensive bite wounds to their heads in dire need of medical care. Too young to be placed up for adoption at intake, these pups were taken home for round-the-clock fostering by a devoted foster family.
Ronon and Teyla were socialized to the max, learning how to interact appropriately with other four-legged friends, navigating the colorful world of San Francisco's bus lines and meeting as many people as possible in a short amount of time. With their bite wounds healing well and their little bodies finally growing, these playful pups will be ready for adoption very soon.
Although they had a rough beginning, they can now have a second chance at life thanks to the help of our wonderful foster parents!
