Adopt...

Sweet, petite, and full of lap-lovin' sass, Agatha's antics will never fail to put a smile on your face. However, at 9 years old, this little Rat Terrier mix had the adoption
odds against her due to her "senior" status.
Rescued from Fremont Animal Shelter where she was originally found as a stray, Agatha came to us with a large scar on her head, a
desperate need for dental work, and handling sensitivity. With careful care by our entire team, Agatha began to shine even though she continued to wait for her forever home for three months while our younger shelter dogs moved in with their new
families.
However, behind the scenes it was a very different story. Everyone who had the pleasure of walking Agatha fell in love almost instantly! To our surprise, her happy ending came from one of our dog volunteers, Bahar, who changed her life to make certain Agatha could fit in it! At long last, we could give Agatha one final hug and send her to a loving home.

Volunteer... Michelle, one of our dedicated dog volunteers, recently approached us with an exciting idea for a fundraising event in support of Pets Unlimited. Her desire to help our shelter animals created an amazing night out, Paws for a Cause! Michelle worked tirelessly to make it a success, soliciting local businesses for refreshments, in-kind donations for the silent auction and other treats for our guests (and their furry friends). She even asked friends and family to donate their time as bartenders and convinced Azul's to donate the event space. With help from the Pets Unlimited team, one volunteer raised over $1,600 in support of our Shelter and Adoption Center!
We're not sure how Michelle had the time to coordinate this event and manage her successful dogwalking business but we are so grateful she did. Thank you Michelle for all your hard work in support of our shelter animals - we couldn't do it without you!

Foster...

Adorable Zuke
hasn't had it easy. He arrived at Pets Unlimited at the tender age of six months,
heartworm positive and still recovering from recent surgery. His sweet personality led to a speedy adoption but he soon came back to our shelter because of a conflict with another long-term feline housemate.
The Pets Unlimited
shelter team set out to increase his adoption chances through a specialized behavior and therapy plan to help make certain his next home would be a forever one. Loving foster parents took him in and he quickly excelled as the sole cat in the house! He's currently thriving with his new family and their patience and love have finally
created the wonderful environment this sweet little guy deserves.
