The Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast, in partnership with Florida MEP, invite you to participate in the Manufacturing Innovations 2011 Model Based Enterprise (MBE) Supplier Education and Training Summit in Orlando on May 18, 2011, from 7AM to 4PM.

 

This summit will raise the MBE literacy of NASA and DoD suppliers through the following programs:

  • MBE and its benefits: Perspectives from both NASA and DoD
  • MBE Technical Data Package Development
  • Working with NASA OEMs
  • The implications and opportunities of MBE for Small Business
  • MBE-Related resources and assistance
  • Q&A panels

  • A minimum of ten employees must currently work from or report to the eligible worksite. This does not include contract workers or consultants who are not reported to the IRS, but does include employees who travel frequently or work from home as long as they report back to the eligible worksite.
  • The organization must have been in operation for at least one year.

About the Summit: Entrepreneurs from across the 15th Congressional District will be showcasing their innovative technologies to the public and potential investors. Presenters will include a wide variety of start-up and early-stage companies representing a wide array of industry sectors.

This is an opportunity for leaders of Brevard County's newest and most exciting companies to share their products with the public and discuss investment and licensing opportunities with potential investors and strategic investors. In addition to the presentations, company representatives will be available to talk in detail about their technologies, products and services.

The Agenda: The agenda includes a keynote address by Congressman Posey and presentations by five companies. Carol Craig, President/CEO, Craig Technologies, will be a guest speaker. Other speakers include Florida Venture Forum, Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida, Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce and Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

Networking and a continental breakfast begins at 8:00 AM and the program begins at 9:00 AM.
