Social Media Trends in 2011

It is important to keep tabs on up-and-coming Social Media technologies to make sure you keep your business at the forefront. 'Socialnomics' author Erik Qualman says, "We don't have a choice on whether we do Social Media, the question is how well we do it."

Held on Friday, February 25, the theme was "Treasures Under the Sea," and Tom Poehailos, 2011 Chair, and his staff at the Crowne Plaza went all out to create an undersea extravaganza.  The event honored the 2011 Board of Directors and outgoing Board members.  Dorothy Allen, Florida Institute of Technology, was recognized for Dedicated Service as the 2010 Chair of the Chamber.

 

Several awards were presented including Impact Awards to the EDC of Florida's Space Coast and Health First. Each of these leading organizations was recognized for the tremendous impact that have made on the community within the last year.
