Economic Injury Disaster Loans
SBA has announced that Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most non-profit organizations of all sizes located in Florida as a result of frosts and freezes that occurred from November 5, 2010 through December 17, 2010.
Declaration includes for the following counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Polk, Putnam, Saint Johns, Saint Lucie, Sarasota, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union and Volusia.
Affected small businesses are able to apply and obtain information for SBA assistance by contacting the SBA Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for people with speech or hearing disabilities) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. ET. Business loan applications can be downloaded from the SBA website at ww.w.sba.gov. Completed applications should be mailed to U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth TX 76155. The EIDL loan application deadline for this event is September 26, 2011.

Hopefuls Get a Shot at Fame
Runaway Country Music Festival 
With opening curtain quickly approaching, festival organizers, Space Coast hotels, restaurants and businesses are in countdown mode, preparing to welcome country music fans from around the world.
With all those fans come the dreams and aspirations of rising and hope-to-be-rising performers looking for their big break.
For 8 straight weeks, beginning February18 th then all the way through to the festival, aspiring artists can apply to perform a 30 minute set at the County Line Saloon in Melbourne. Called "Audition to Runaway" judges will select one performer each week to come back and perform a second time. At the end of 8 weeks, the list will be pared down to two performers who will kick off Runaway Country at 2:30PM Friday April 15 th on the main stage in front of thousands.
Rob Varley, executive director of Space Coast Office of Tourism and a country music fan explains, "The audience will select the winner, or should I say, the newest rising star. Who knows where it could lead? How cool is that? We could launch a new star from the Space Coast."
