I have just heard some sad news from our former chaplain, Father Pilon: Last night, American central time, Kevin attempted to swim across a lake nearby Southern Catholic College, Georgia, where he has been studying. As of this morning (5:30 AM European time, 22nd September) Mrs Sinnott was informed that Kevin, in his attempt, apparently did not make it across the lake, and has not yet been found.

The Chaplain to Southern Catholic College who contacted Mrs Sinnott said that earlier yesterday evening, Kevin had been to confession; and this has been taken by Mrs Sinnott, and many more of us, as having been a great consolation, in light of our Catholic Faith.
