Dear friends,
At the beginning of a busy new school year, herewith some brief news from Chavagnes International College, the Catholic boarding school for boys. |

Exam successes and sucessful choir tour ... Our exam results for summer 2009 are now available online. We have only one VI-th Form leaver, Peter Morrison, who is off to Birmingham to study Ancient history. His elder brother, another old boy of Chavagnes and Oriel College Oxford, Alex has just joined the Norbertines. More information on the Chavagnes news page
You will also find on the news page information and photos from the various end of term events, including the very popular Summer Ball, an experience we are sure to repeat in Summer 2010.

The new term begins with 26 pupils, spread across the age range. The number of French pupils is on the increase, so we are redoubling our efforts in the teaching of English and this seems to be paying off.
The College has started its own independent scout troop, and the first meeting of the new year featured a very successful orienteering competition, won by Rochejacquelein house.
Preparations are underway for the Christmas play, Macbeth. Performances will be on the evening of Sunday 13th and the afternoon of Monday 14th December. The College's Carol Service will be held on the evening of Monday 14th December, with term ending on 15th after lunch. |
STAGE d'ANGLAIS : English course for French boys 28th October to 4th November 2009. (du mercredi 28 octobre 12h au mercredi 4 novembre 2009 inclus; cot pour une semaine : 450 € en internat, frais de transport non compris)
