Ways to Communicate with The Falls Church Leadership
  1. Vestry members are available to talk with you after each Worship Service on Sundays. You can find them in the Lightwell downstairs from the Main Sanctuary and at the front of the Sanctuary in the Historic Church.

  2. Use the Question cards in the seating areas; hand  your written questions or ideas to an usher or place in the collection plate. Be sure to include a way to contact you so we can respond.

  3. Contact a Vestry Member at Vestry@thefallschurch.org  or see TFC Parish Directory.

  4. Call Pastoral Care response line: (703) 574-4401

Greetings!

We are pleased to share with you  the third issue of TFC Community News during this important season in the life of our church.

NOT MUCH NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!

This week has been a continuation of the dual track preparations tasked for our legal team, Joshua 1:9 Plan Committee and Staff and Vestry. Thank you for your participation in last weekend's Q&A briefings after each service. We appreciate all your questions and feedback, especially your supportive encouragement, even when we can't answer definitively many of the specifics. We know the Lord will continue to deliver in His perfect will and timing. We will keep you posted as decisions are made and plans take shape.

What we know today:

Ministry continues, and is thriving!

  • There were about 500 people at the Art of Marriage conference this past weekend.
  • The Fellowship Hall was full after Sunday worship for the first gathering of those interested in learning more about our next Church Plant, All Nations DC (ANDC) to be led by Wright and Beth Wall and their core team (see sidebar photos).
  • Tonight begins our second annual Worship Conference, One Voice, with noted speakers and clinicians-not too late to join them.
  • Cornerstone (High Schoolers) Breakaway next weekend, 420 registered. Crossroads (Middle Schoolers) Breakaway is in March.
  • Women's Retreat in Annapolis, March 16-18 registration is online.
  • Men's Retreat for Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, led by our new Bishop, John Guernsey, in Shepherdstown, March 23-25. Registration and more information are available online at (www.anglicandoma.org).

What we ask of you:

Please pray for the Lord to work out His purposes for each of us, for our congregation collectively, and for the other six congregations who have stood with us in this sad affair (Truro, Church of the Apostle's, Epiphany, St. Margaret's, St. Paul's, and St. Stephen's ).

Pray for wisdom for our vestry, clergy, and legal team and for favor with the legal authorities.

Keep pledging and giving for 2012 ministry (TFCA general operations) and legal defense fund. Hang tough and hang together by the Holy Spirit who strengthens us. We are weak, but He is strong.

In Christ,
Your Vestry
