| A Letter from Santa
Happy New Year to you and yours!
After my elves were away for the Christmas season, I was so glad to see them again! I am happy to report they were very helpful in putting out all of your toys - we knew you would love them!
The New Year is always a time of happiness here. My Elf Magic Elves and I are able to look back at 2009 with such pride and satisfaction. We did it! Thanks to the elves, we were able to make toys for children all over the world, and we delivered them on Christmas Eve.
I know Christmas 2010 is a year away, but it doesn't mean we haven't started preparing! While the elves were cleaning up from our busy 2009 toy-making, they came across several boxes in the workshop full of toys and clothes they thought had made it into Santa's sleigh. In an effort to help Mrs. Claus fulfill her New Year's resolution, "Out with the old and in with the new," the elves created a great idea - Santa's Sleigh Specials! They are putting all of the extra toys and clothes they found in the workshop on my favorite website so everyone can take advantage of the surplus goodies from 2009! Mrs. Claus, of course, loved the idea and even helped the elves make signs for the exciting promotion!
While the sale is going on, the elves are working to prepare the workshop for 2010. The elves have greased and oiled all of the machines in the factory and have begun to bring me new toy designs. The elves and I have to get together and start planning on how to make Elf Magic's 2010 Christmas more amazing than ever! We are ready for work, work, work after so much play, play, play!
Stay tuned as the elves and I deliver SNN to you throughout the year. The elves, who traveled to homes in 2009 in record numbers, have asked for new travel items. To satisfy their wishes, I'm hard at work with my Chief Elf Designer-Jingle Claus-to design special suitcases and passports, so the elves will travel in style this coming Christmas!
Remember, you can stay in touch with your elves all year! And, don't forget to post pictures from your elf's visit and say hello to them on our Facebook,
Twitter,
Flickr or
YouTube pages.
If you know someone who would love Elf Magic, forward SNN to your family and friends! And, if you don't want to receive future editions of SNN, just click the 'SafeUnsubscribe' link at the bottom.

Reindeer Games Round-Up
By ELF MALONE
SNN Sports Reporter
A new Magic Reindeer and Elf Magic elf have been crowned winners of the Annual Reindeer Games! (See all the results below)
On New Year's Day, following some intense, but fun-loving games between Santa's many beloved reindeer, Donner took home the Reindeer Grand Prize - an entire winter of sleeping by Santa's always-lit fireplace!
While the reindeer enjoy sleeping in their barn, Santa's toasty fire is a nice treat for Donner on nights he wants to be extra warm and cozy.
Elf Roxanne took top honors for the elves, winning a lifetime supply of crackers!
The Reindeer Games included the Polar Bear Plunge, sleigh pulling, relay races, a six-legged race, dance-off (to Christmas carols), hula hooping, limbo and the Elf Magic elves favorite race - hurdles! "When I walked home from school this past fall, I would always see Donner practicing for the sleigh pull, running up and down the cobblestone street with a sleigh behind him," says Elf Sully. "It was really impressive how he pulled the sleigh! There were times when elves were in the sleigh, which helped him improve his endurance. As for Elf Roxanne - she worked so hard. All those nights of catching moon rays and jumping into the icy water certainly gave her a leg up against the other elves in the Polar Bear Plunge."
Elf Sports Pro Magic (also known as ESPM) broadcasted the games live
for those elves still resting from their visits with families during
Christmas. Many of the elves gathered together in each other's homes to
drink cocoa and cheer on their favorite reindeer, crowding around big
screen TVs to take pleasure in one of the North Pole's most exciting
annual events! Some of the elves could hardly even talk the day after
the Games from cheering so loudly with their friends, their hearts
gladdened by all the great sportsmanship on the field. Hoarse voices
didn't stop all the chatter about Elf Webb's spectacular recovery on
the hurdles, though, his accidental backflip and solid landing after
jumping too high and catching a wind-drift becoming one of the most
viewed videos on Elf-Tube ever! The younger elves especially enjoyed
watching Elf Webb's daring feat in fast-forward and slow-motion on
their parent's DVR players, giggling louder with each viewing of Webb's
hilarious facial expression mid-flip. Highlight reels of the Games were
broadcast continuously for days on ESPM, so the participants could see
the best of the action once they returned to their homes.
According to Santa, the 2010 Reindeer Games were the most exciting Reindeer Games yet!
"I really enjoyed watching my elves and reindeer play," he says. "They all worked so hard, and given they had just returned from traveling around the world to bring children presents, I was very happy with their energy and passion for the games again this year!"
The 2011 Reindeer Games will include some new sports, which will be announced later this year.

Snowball Dinner and Dance Reunites Elves After Christmas
By ELF SHERRY
SNN Social Reporter
Every
New Year's Eve, Mrs. Claus throws a very special celebration to honor
the elves' return - the Snowball Dinner and Dance! Mrs. Claus loves
throwing the annual party, planning out the food, décor and
entertainment months in advance. Each New Year's party has a different
theme than the year prior, so it's always one of the most anticipated
events of the year.
This year's Snowball Dinner and Dance did not disappoint! Polar Productions, in partnership with WTOY, the North Pole radio station, treated guests to a special live performance of "Getting Things Ready," with DJ Elf Colin working the turntables, prompting the elves to jump to their feet to dance and sing along.
The Snowball Dinner and Dance was the most beautiful and festive yet! The banquet hall featured tiny crystal snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, tables adorned with pine cones and candles, and toy soldiers were stationed at the entrance. A delicious dinner of baked ham, green beans and potatoes was prepared by a local celebrity, Chef Jack Frost. Mrs. Claus is quite the chef, too! She prepared a delicious baked apple crisp!
Following dessert, Mrs. Claus thanked the elves for their hard work by gifting the boy elves with snow globes and the girl elves with necklace and bracelet sets.
The elves cannot wait to see what kind of Snowball Dinner and Dance takes place next year! One thing's for sure - it will be a masterpiece!
