SantaWe can't believe a whole month has passed since our last St. Nick's News! What a busy and quick month it has been. Elf Magic Elves have received all of your letters expressing joy about getting closer to the holiday season. They are anxiously awaiting the time when they have completed their jobs, and they will be free to visit their host families across the world!

Even though we are only halfway through September, the elves have already had a packed month! School just started, so everyone is balancing their days of frolicking in the snow and working in my Toy Shop with fun learning activities and some community service. Elf Casey just showed me his first "A" on a test - it was in Science! He is getting such wonderful grades, and I hope you are too!

I am learning more and more about the mischievous and fun Elfcapades my elves get into when they are with their host families. Elves Jingle and Jangle are working hard to bring you all the latest news. Good news! Some of the new boy and girl elves have finished their jobs, and I am officially allowing them to leave the North Pole! The new Elf Magic Snowflake Princess Dress, Magical Reindeer and Pocket Elves are ready to go, too! Visit my favorite Web Site for more information! Remember, not every elf is ready to go just yet - some of them still have work to do! So it's OK if your elf can't visit just yet ... he or she may still be helping me for a few more months!

The elves also have a special surprise for you! Read all about it in Elf Sherry's column below. She wanted to be the first to tell you about it and made me promise that I wouldn't spoil the news.

Elf antics get even more amusing this year

Elf AnticsWhat's an Elf Magic visit without some creative and fun nighttime Elfcapades? Children sprinkle North Pole Snowflakes on their elves, and that's when the adventures begin!  The elves are never lacking in creative ways to enjoy their nights, such as sleeping in the freezer and making snow angels in the yard.

Your elf's last visit may have been almost a year ago, but we still love to hear about their Elfcapades. We've read reports of some elves who will be embarking on new adventures this year when visiting their families for special occasions. With the elves being able to communicate often with their new Facebook and Twitter accounts, we are hearing even more reports of fun and exciting Elfcapades!

We've selected a few of our favorite Elfcapade stories to share with SNN readers!
  • One family awoke during the Christmas season to find a red "Rudolph" nose on their dog. How did the family know their elf was the culprit? He fell asleep next to a bag that contained the nose!

  • A child in California opened her lunchbox on the first day of school (Santa gave her elf special permission to visit for her first day of kindergarten) to find some crackers and a note from her elf wishing her a "Merry First Day of Kindergarten."

  • When a child in New York turned on her light, she noticed the regular light bulb had been replaced! In its place was a bright red light. After further investigation, she discovered all of the bulbs in her house had been switched to red and green lights. She asked her mom and dad, and they told her it must have been her elf that made the switch.

  • Last Christmas, one boy's elf took Christmas Tree decorating to the extreme. His elf strung tinsel and lights over every tree in his family's yard! Then, when other elves in the neighborhood saw what he did, they, too, decorated trees in their families' yards! According to Santa, the neighborhood was one of the most beautifully decorated he has ever seen!
It's never too late to submit your Elfcapade stories! We love to share these stories with everyone in the North Pole! There are so many ways you can share stories with us - you can become of fan of Elf Magic or friend Jingle or Jangle on Facebook; follow Elf Tweets on Twitter; upload photos of your elves on Flickr; or e-mail the North Pole at elfmail@Elf-Magic.com.

Santa is always looking for families to share their Elf Magic stories with the local news, too, so if you have a story about your elf you want to share, and tell us about it at Elf Magic! You never know ... you and your elf could end up on the 5 p.m. news!
Elves head back to the North Pole Academy for learning and lending hands

Good DeedsThe elves wrapped themselves in their new winter scarves, hats and gloves and headed back to school in the North Pole on September 1. After waiting a whole summer to get back to the North Pole Academy, the elves were very excited to start learning again!

Before the first bell even rang at school all of the elves were seated in their classrooms, notebooks open and ready to start learning! Elf Vivian told me she couldn't wait to learn long division! The class that the elves enjoy the most is the toy making class taught by Professor Jolly.

The Elf Magic elves take their first field trip to the North Pole Observatory to view the stars in the night sky. With the longer nights in the North Pole, it means there is more time for the elves to learn about astronomy and the different stars and planets - one of their favorite subjects! Of course, the North Star is their favorite!

While learning will take most of the time at school, Santa wanted to make sure the elves also take time to help others. That's why, for one hour every school week, the elves are going to do something good in their community. The elves all have different ideas about what they are going to do.

Elf Warner is visiting older elves and spending time with them playing board games. Elf Campbell is cleaning his closet and giving away old toys he doesn't play with anymore. Elf Lucy is helping out in the Reindeer Barn by walking, feeding, and cleaning the stalls, and Elf Brenda has decided to take care of the baby reindeer until they are old enough to fly.

"I cannot wait to volunteer at church," says Elf Caleb. "I am going to start a recycling program there!"

Be sure to let us know if your elf does community service while he or she is visiting you! Share your stories with us on Facebook and Twitter or at Santa's Favorite Web Site!

Magical ReindeerBreaking News!

One of the most important jobs the elves have at the North Pole is caring for the baby reindeer until they are big enough to fly. Magical Reindeer have just arrived from the North Pole and need to be loved and cared for by you and your elf

The Magical Reindeer are always very cheerful and love to eat nuts and berries. As Magical Reindeer who grow up to fly - they are very active and have a lot of energy to play with you and your elf during the day! Here is your very own Magical Reindeer to take care of and love. Remember that Santa will be by to pick it up on Christmas Eve . . . Reindeer School for flight training starts the day after Christmas!

We also hear...

... Two elves Jingle Claus and Jangle Claus have gone on a top secret mission for Santa Claus to Sweden and Poland! We don't know much yet, but according to Twitter, the elves have been very inspired by the great fashion in Europe. And, they really like the chocolate!

... The elves were out in full force to celebrate the success of the new additions to Elf Magic at a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus. The guests of honor were the creators of "Elf Magic Memories" and the team of designers of the Snowflake Princess Dress. The party even featured a fashion show with Elf Veronica stomping down the runway in her new dress. Following the event, Elf Davis was seen posting photos in his journal while the guests of honor signed autographs for their fans!

... Elf Allie was spotted playing an intense board game with Elf Van the other night in Santa's toy shop. The game lasted well past dinner with Elf Allie eventually winning. Not only did Elf Allie win, but Elf Van had to put her toys away the next day, too! Elf Van was a great sport!

... Elf Lisette and Elf Hampton were seen at the North Pole Grocery Store the other day with a shopping cart full of sweets. According to Lisette, the two are going to create the Official Gingerbread House of the North Pole for Santa later this month and wanted to get a head start on everything they will need. Hampton expects the creation to be museum-worthy!

... Who says the elves don't enjoy Halloween? Elf Niles is getting ready for Trick-or-Treating already. He wants to go as his host child. While details are still emerging as to what kind of costume that entails, I can report he has been spending a lot of time browsing the sweaters at Children's Pole!

... The new light skinned, black-haired elves from the southern village have been adjusting well to life in the North Pole! The new girls and boys were seen the other day spending time with the other elves, asking them questions about what it is like to visit families during the Christmas season. To say the new elves are excited and looking forward to spending time with their host families this year is an understatement! They have started a countdown in the toy shop!
