Dear Friends,
This week, as we gather with family and friends to give thanks, all of us here at National Disability Institute would like to express our thanks to each of you for your continued support. Without each of you - our sponsors, partners and colleagues - we would not be able to continue to build inclusive communities of practice nationwide.
 Thank you to everyone who attended our 6th Annual REI Tour Kick-Off at the National Press Club held on October 19. This year's event was another wonderful celebration of the success of the REI Tour. With speeches from IRS Wage & Investment Division Commissioner Richard Byrd and AMC's Breaking Bad star RJ Mitte to the presentation of the American Dream winning video by Kenzi Robi, the Kick-Off not only demonstrated what the Tour has done, but the many possibilities for the year to come.
Another round of thanks goes out to everyone who joined us at the 5th Annual Real Economic Impact Tour Mayor's Leadership Academy at Chicago's Federal Reserve Bank. Over 150 leaders in the disability and asset communities gathered to share best-practices and to learn what's new for the Tour in 2011.
This was by far our best Academy yet! The 20 informative breakout sessions kept attendees engaged, educated and motivated to make this year's tax season our most successful yet. And the hilarious photobooth at the conference reception proved that even Uncle Sam didn't know the good time to be had with tax time.
