Transition to 5010 Transaction Data Set: Getting Ready For ICD-10 January 1, 2012 all claims must be transmitted in the new 5010 data set. While all vendors are currently testing, you will need to verify this status with your practice management software and your clearinghouse. If you don't have a plan, you should attend this Lunch and Learn to get answers to the following questions: 1. How do I know if my vendors will be compliant? 2. What happens if some insurance companies cannot accept the new data set by January 1st? 3. Will I have to upgrade my software? 4. What happens to my claims if I do not purchase the upgrade?
