Advanced Home Recording
Due to huge demand, we've added an Advanced Home Recording class on Monday, June 1 from 6:30-9:30pm with Brian Burge. Brian is the talent director at Stars and works every day in the studio, with Stars represented talent, on auditions and production work.
Brian will discuss popular mic choices in all budget ranges. He'll also talk about voice types and how that affects microphone choices. You'll test 4 or 5 mics to see how you sound - the tests will be recorded and the files emailed to you the next day. Brian will walk you through the audition process and give some advanced editing techniques such as de-breathing, VST plug-ins, and eq notching. We'll also have a discussion about software options - Audacity, Adobe Audition, ProTools, Sound Forge, Amadeus, etc.
Class is $90 and is open to all students who have attended Home Recording 1 or who are familiar with basic recording techniques and Audacity.
