Beware of Phishing Scams
Watch out for hackers looking for your Paypal email address.
Several students got a request for a HipHop DJ citing voiceovers.com as
the site they got the email address from. Many of the talent are not
members of that site.
Here's what one actor had to say: What
they wanted was my Paypal email address right off the bat to send me
money right away - without asking if I take Paypal. When I checked the
email address of the sender, the only reference to it on Google was as
a user name on a Hacker's website.
So if you get an offer that seems too good to be true ... it probably is. Please use caution online.
