For me personally, bringing Eat Cleaner to market was a labor of love. It is about honoring my father, an accomplished scientist and professor, who had a very basic wish. That the products he purchased to feed his family were clean and safe. After battling state government agencies over food handling practices at his local supermarket, his mission became more focused on all of us individuals and how we could take food safety into our own hands.
It’s also about the kids. Not too long ago, an acquaintance told me a story about her son, who had nearly died of E.coli poisoning after eating a tainted hamburger. As a mom, I couldn’t imagine the horror she had faced after over 2 months of fighting for her son’s life when nearly all of his organs had failed. If we could help make a difference in not only how our food is cleaned and prepared but also how it is handled – enough to possibly save another family from the torment she had been through – our mission would be accomplished.
So I tell people, I gave birth to my two children and the brand. The latter took 23 months and boy, was it a labor of love.
After almost 2 years of product testing, creative development and planning, we delivered Eat Cleaner to stand up to the test with a superior, differentiated functionality and form. We make our products using the best raw materials and quality, sustainable packaging. We monitor all of the food recalls and post them regularly on our blog and our other social media outlets. We give back to the community and donate our products happily, striving to always do the right thing. To all of the brands who inspire us to go above and beyond with a big heart, we salute you.
May you always be out standing in your field.

I had the pleasure of getting a little juicy with Skinny Bitch author Kim Barnouin. We got our green on and dished about her new book coming out in the fall, how many hands have touched her melons and how to raise kids with a palate filled with food other than chicken nuggets.
Just submit your video or picture showing us how you drink and eat healthier on our Facebook page for a chance to win. One lucky duck will pick up a our juicer package worth $400, courtesy of Samson juicers and yours truly.
