Packed with live enzymes, vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants, fruit and veggies make the best juice ‘mocktails’ when mixed together, also helping to cut the sugar. They can also help boost metabolism, fight infection, build tissue and strong bones...and help everything move along the way it’s supposed to. So when you eat cleaner, you’re doing it from the outside-in. There, I said it!
For the holidays, you’ll appreciate the brilliant red color of our CAB Mocktail. Juice a bunch of carrots, two apples and a beet with a healthy tablespoon of fresh ginger. You can’t beat beets for their blood boosting properties.
The RED CAB Mocktail
- 4 large carrots
- 2 green apples
- 1 beet
- 1T grated ginger
Pass the ingredients through a juicer. Serve chilled with a slice of lemon.

Food Safety Tip of the Week: Keep it cool. et your refrigerator thermostat to the right temperature if you want to enjoy leftovers without the listeria. According to the American Dietetic Association, more than a third of people typically keep their refrigerator set at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, and 41 percent admit they don't know the proper temperature to which their refrigerator should be set. Don't let bacteria shorten your leftovers' life – use a refrigerator thermometer to make sure your fridge is always set below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It's just one more step to keeping it cool and safe.

Look Who’s Eating Cleaner!
One better bite at a time, the latest news is about Eating Cleaner in Hollywood. Some of our fans include:
Make it a habit, Save Serious Green
The price of convenience! Consumers spend 3-5 times more on pre-cut and washed produce than the whole varieties, sacrificing freshness, savings and sometimes safety (remember the bagged Spinach E.coli outbreak of 2006?) Here’s the skinny.
You can spend $3.49 on a 16 oz. bag of pre-cut apple slices or $.99 for a pound of them. Or $3.99 on a bagged salad vs. $.89 for a whole head of Romaine. Ditch the pre-cut and washed varieties and make your own in less than 5 minutes with these handy tools that keep you ready to munch at a moment’s notice - at a price you can stomach.
