An Über Clean Apple a Day
 Give one to your teacher. Eat one a day to keep that icky doctor away. As wholesome of a snack as anyone could think of. But before you take that big juicy bite, you may want to think twice about flashing it through the faucet or rubbing it on your sleeve.
The Environmental Working Group, a non-profit organization that's done a lot of testing on our favorite fruit and vegetables, found conventional apples had the second-highest pesticide load among 44 fruits and vegetables evaluated. Just under 94% of conventional apples tested had detectable pesticides, at an average of 0.89 parts per million.
It may not seem like a lot but there is proof even very small doses of pesticides can wreak havoc, especially during vulnerable periods of in utero (pregnant women, this is for you) and with early childhood development. Exposure to pesticides been linked to chronic diseases including Autism, Parkinson's Disease, child and adult cancers.
The bottom line is many pesticides are water-resistant to help withstand the elements, so rinsing them under water just won't get the job done. PARIS IN SPRING VEGETABLE AND CHEVRE QUESADILLAS
In under 20 minutes you're ready for a clean and healthy meal!
Pick out a variety of fresh Spring veggies from your local farmer's market or store. Zucchini, carrots, eggplant and asparagus are all great options. Wash thoroughly with EAT CLEANER. Then, using your peeler, create vegetable 'ribbons' by peeling the whole vegetable lengthwise (just trim the ends off your asparagus). Saute your veggies with a few tablespoons of olive oil until cooked with a little crunch and add kosher or sea salt and pepper to taste. Remove from pan. Place a whole wheat tortilla and add thin slices of goat cheese (Silver Goat makes a great garlic and chive variety) and add your cooked veggies. Once the cheese starts to melt, add the top tortilla and flip. Cook until golden brown. Top with your favorite salsa and enjoy.
