At Long Last! Kindle Compatibility How It Works - Visit the Hancock County Public Library's digital library.
- Browse & check out a Kindle book using your library card.
- Click on "Get for Kindle" and then sign in to your Amazon.com account to have the book delivered to your Kindle device or reading app.
- No purchase or credit card is required to create an Amazon Kindle account; you only need to provide an email address.
- Public library books can be sent wirelessly to Kindle devices via an active Wi-Fi connection or transferred via USB. (The books are not delivered via Kindle's 3G connection.) Transfer of Kindle books can be completed from Web browsers on PC and Mac, iPad, and numerous other tablet devices.
More Good News - You'll have access to all the features of Kindle, including page numbers, synchronized notes, highlights, and last page read.
- After an eBook expires, if you check it out again, all your annotations and bookmarks will be preserved.
