Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Workshop for Seattle Apartment Managers - May 12, 2011
The Seattle Office of Emergency Management and the Seattle Fire Department are hosting a free workshop for affordable housing communities.
When: Thursday, May 12, 2011; 8:30AM - 12:00PM
Where: Seattle Emergency Operations Center,105 5thAvenue South, Seattle, WA (Corner of 5th & Washington)
Similar to last year's workshop, participants will learn:
- How to develop apartment evacuation and disaster plans
- About the most common fire and disaster hazards found in multi-family housing
- How to organize within your building to stay self-sufficient after a disaster

East African Community Fire Safety Advocates : Promoting Safety in Seattle
The Seattle Fire Department recently trained members of the East African community on fire safety and prevention. These Community Fire Safety Adovcates are now available to do presentations to groups in their native languages Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali and Oromo.
