Greetings!

HAPPY SUMMER DAYS!
Summer is one of my favorite seasons of the year. It is a season filled with sunshine, easy living, arts festivals, moments looking out over the horizon of endless beaches on the waterfront of New England shores, and all the bountiful gifts of nature that the season provides.

It is also a season of reflection on days past and hopes for all the days that lie ahead... a season of cleaning out the old, and preparing for the new. As we look forward to Fall, there are so many things I am excited to share with you in helping you to realize your own dreams.

Following are just a few I wish to share with you now:

ARTIST ADVOCATE
In my first newsletter, I was happy to have found a magazine that addressed the age-old challenge artists have for finding gallery representation. That publication is Artist Advocate Magazine. Created by an artist who understands the time, energy & frustration artists have in soliciting galleries to show their work, Artist Advocate does all the work for you.

The premise is very simple. Artists have the opportunity of taking out a 1/2 page or full-page ad in the magazine, which allows space for an artist's bio, contact info and examples of your work. Each edition of the magazine is distributed to over 6,500 top art galleries nationwide and over 8,000 venues online. There are four issues a year: Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall. The publishers are currently working on their Fall issue, for which the deadline is August 5th. What better way for you to find a home for the work you've been doing all year, and to make important new connections for the Fall and Winter seasons ahead. What's more, we've seen just how well it works! In just three issues past, we have heard from countless artists, many of whom have found several galleries in different parts of the country to represent them! Gallery owners are equally happy about having one venue to review the works and websites of many artists. For them it eliminates cold calls, fuzzy emails and piles of submissions that often end up in the trash for lack of time to have in reviewing them.

Visit their website, which includes detailed information and an order form. Contact me with any questions you may have! I couldn't be advocating a better venue to be reaching the largest percentage of galleries in the easiest, most cost-effective manner. Follow your art!

JO JAYSON
Provence 2007 JJMy newest client, Jo Jayson, has been formally trained in fine arts and figurative painting in London, and she has been an active professional muralist and decorative painter for the last 10 years. Jo has painted in London, Sydney, New York and Washington, D.C. and she travels frequently for inspiration and continuous study of her craft.

Jo's work currently graces many homes and businesses in New York and Connecticut. We are pleased to offer two exceptional works by her, Provence (right), painted on canvas in 2007; and Italian Ruin, (left), framed and painted on canvas in 2005.

I see these paintings gracing distinctive homes, restaurants, wineries, hotels or clubs, where they will no doubt command the presence to become a focal point in any of those settings. Provence measures 48" wide x 78" high; Italian Ruin measures 52" x 43".

Contact me or Jo for more details!
