Washington (BWA)--The Baptist World Alliance is in the process of finalizing plans for the Window on the World (WOW) Banquet and the Executive Committee meeting in early March in the state of Virginia in the United States.

Keynote speaker at the WOW Banquet will be the Honorable Suzan Johnson Cook, United States Ambassador at Large for Religious Freedom. It will be held on March 3 at the Sheraton National Hotel Ballroom in Arlington, Virginia, close to Washington DC.

More than 60 Baptist leaders from some 20 countries will travel to the BWA international offices in Falls Church, Virginia, for the BWA Executive and other auxiliary committee meetings that begin on March 4.

Issues to be discussed include the 2015 Baptist World Congress in Durban, South Africa, the Baptist Youth World Conference to be held in Singapore in 2013, and proposed theological dialogues with the Orthodox Church and Pentecostals. The recipient of the 2012 BWA Denton and Janice Lotz Human Rights Award will also be announced.

Among the groups that will meet will be leaders of the Men's, Women's and Youth departments, as well as the Membership Committee that will consider applications from Baptist groups to hold membership within the BWA.
