At its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 17, Greensboro City Council set the process in motion for using hotel-motel tax funds to fill the $6.1 million funding gap for the aquatic center at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. A special meeting including a public hearing will be held on the matter Tuesday, December 1, at 4 pm in the Council Chambers of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St. Council's regularly scheduled meeting follows at 5:30 pm. Council meetings are open to the public and are also aired live on Channel 13 through videostreaming on the City's Web site.
