Consultant's Corner
| Does your sales team know what they have sold?
In this article, Ken Burt discusses one of the powerful features that IFS offers called Customer Order Statistics. Ken says that in his experience only a small portion of IFS customers use this feature. Everyone has a sales team, and they constantly want to know how much they have sold this month, this year, and how this period compares to one last year.
Customer Order Statistics offers the ability to easily view Backlog of Orders, Invoiced Sales, Delivery Reliability, and Delivery Quality at a detail level and from an aggregated standpoint Invoiced Sales and Delivery Quality. There is a prerequisite: Use of the IFS Customer Order system cycle, nothing more, nothing less.
Click below to read Ken's comments about how to create reports dealing with backlog, invoiced sales, delivery quantity, and delivery quality. Ken also discusses how to aggregate these reports to develop even more meaningful sales statistics, and a "gotcha" you can overcome.

The Company We Keep
Summer Industries, located in Welcome, NC is a manufacturer of engineered paper cores and tubes. These products are used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as construction forms for concrete, textile spools, and rolled products such as tape and plastic films. With three manufacturing sites in North Carolina and Florida, Summer Industries is a rapidly growing business with plans for further expansion.
Business Problem
Summer Industries selected IFS to run their growing business and provide the tools to better manage the anticipated growth. However, several months into the implementation they had reached a stalemate and were unable to move forward on the project. Rather than give up on the implementation, they called upon eNSYNC Solutions for an objective assessment and recommendation.
The changes recommended and implemented by eNSYNC enabled Summer to take advantage of a significant investment that had already been made and begin receiving a return on this investment sooner than expected.

What's in "The Works?"
Flowmaster,
based in Santa Rosa, CA, has gained national exposure and distribution
through Advanced Auto Parts and AutoZone, two of the largest auto parts
retail chains in the industry. To win these contracts with these
giants, Flowmaster had to employ an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
solution to enable them to transfer order information.
To
accomplish this, Flowmaster, eNSYNC Solutions, and EMANIO implemented
EMANIO's Trading Partner™ solution using its built in Wizard toolset.
