Dear Progressives,
What a great weekend we had! The free legal clinic on Saturday provided living wills and education about living wills to around 50 people who will share their experience with their family and neighbors. We also participated in hosting a trial run on Sunday of a digital training conference on using common social networking tools for organizing that we hope to repeat in the months to come. Whew!
We're going to dial things down a notch for the next few weeks to do some long overdue research and development time - and enjoy the State Fair like we couldn't last year during the campaign! We do a have a couple of fun things to let you know about while Molly and I do behind-the-scenes work. Check those out and we'll check in with you next week.
Be Well, and Be Progressive!

Upcoming Progressive Center Events:
"Capitalism: A Love Story" Friday, October 2nd, movie starts at 8:30pm The Magnolia is opening the new Michael Moore film "Capitalism: A Love Story" on Friday, October 2nd. In "Capitalism: A Love Story", filmmaker Michael Moore (Sicko, Fahrenheit 9/11, Bowling for Columbine, Roger & Me) tackles an issue he has been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans.
This is just a fun notice for progressives in the area to come meet and see an entertaining film - it's not a free screening. The Progressive Center will have a table outside the screening room with materials and Tracy Clinton be on hand to mix and mingle. FYI: Some of our friends from the local women's roller derby community are also going to be there in uniform supporting the opening of "Whip It", the Drew Barrymore film about Texan women's roller derby. It's going to be a fun night! (The Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave, Dallas)
