Dear Progressives,
First, Molly and I and the rest of the PCT crew give a hearty thanks to all the people who responded to our donation appeal last weekend. About $500 in small donations came in, and we're grateful for every penny of it. We still have an ongoing need for donations from people like you to keep the lights on and the phone ringing, but we appreciate every check, every kind word, every person who calls or comes by our space at South Side on Lamar. Thank You!
Second, please check out the new article, "Moving From Disease Care" (link) on our website.
Third, we got a great response to our previous mention of the Digital Training Conference happening this Sunday. We've done our best to expand the training team to meet demand and are keeping registration open for the next few days.
Please check out the Digital Training Conference(link) where you'll learn what you need to know about new media. If you intend to be a leader in future grassroots organizing, you cannot miss this. It will be held at the SMU campus, Hughes-Trigg Student Center (3140 Dyer, Dallas 75205) on Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2009. Check-in begins at 1:00pm, with one-hour training sections beginning promptly at 1:30pm. There will be three training sections, covering Facebook, Twitter, and Google Apps.
REGISTER TODAY at dcdt-preregister.com or by phone at (979) 319-2443. Important reminder: Please remember to bring a picture ID as well as your email address you used to register in order to sign in.
As you may know, conferences such as these take a considerable amount of resources: money, time, and labor. A $5 contribution would be welcome and will be accepted at the sign in. Also, because of the costs, if you are unable to attend, please inform us so that we are able to give your seat to another progressive to take advantage of this opportunity.
Join your friends, fellow organizers, and future leaders on Sunday, September 27th.
Be Well, and Be Progressive!
Tracy Clinton and Molly Hanchey

You are never too young or too old to draft a will, and now you can do so at a free legal clinic featuring attorneys Cass Callaway, Tina Yoo, Chris Wilmoth, Tonya Parker with special guest Judge Mark Greenberg. This legal clinic should be of special interest to single mothers. Without a will, the decisions of a probate court could determine how your estate is distributed and who will take care of your children. Come out, take an important first step to getting a will, learn about power of attorney and other legal issues.
