Action Item
Please attend.
We could be at risk of losing our
federal funding for highways if we fail the
clean air test (not to mention inhaling toxic
particles).
Wednesday, June 17 from 10 am to 8 pm
National EPA hearing on new cement plan rules. You are invited to attend and ask the EPA to
support cleaner air for DFW. It's been reported that the cement plants in Midlothian,
just south of DFW have more cement plants left over from the 60's and 70's than
any other part of the country. New EPA
emission limits would make these plants modernize and create cleaner air. For more information see www.downwindersatrisk.org
Again, thanks to each of you who are helping us pursue our
work at The Progressive Center.
Warm regards,
Molly Hanchey & Tracy Clinton
