Dear Members, It has been an active summer for our businesses and for the many issues that we are addressing as an organization. Three of our top issues involve everyone from government to residents and businesses, and all three are still in process. For more information please go to FQBA.org and find detailed reports. If you haven't visited the FQBA website for a while, please take a few minutes to walk through it. Annie Flettrich, our Executive Director, takes a lot of time to keep it updated for your convenience. She keeps key topics right at your finger tips. The calendar of events alone is a great marketing tool for you to bring your business to your neighbors. Annie is pleased to receive input from members so don't hesitate to get in touch. The July event was brilliant brainstorm by Nancy Tusa and CE Adler who head the membership committee for FQBA. CE graciously hosted it at Latrobe's on Royal, our thanks to him and his staff. With our current members and hopefully soon to be members, we had a great and diverse turnout despite the rain. Our generous vendors added to evening with wine by Latrobe's, and food/beverages by Acme Oyster House, Antoine's Restaurant, Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, Le Meritage, Pat O'Brien's, Royal House, Caf Soule, also adding to the event were the fabulous door advertising & door prize drawings donated by New Orleans Magazine, OffBEAT Media, French Quarter Festival, Satchmo Summerfest, Steamboat Natchez and Restaurant Crillio. It was at terrific success with new members already coming in. Giant congratulations to the whole Membership Committee 2012! Job well done! Our August lunch forum will host hot topics for the coming year. So, make your reservations early to join us for a spectacular lunch at Bourbon Vieux on August 16th, great company, and news from Path to Progress and RTA. Finish your summer with success and we look forward to a prosperous Fall 2011. Sincerely, Adrienne President
