Several parents will share their experiences about planning for their child's transition from high school to a full, rich day as an adult. How do they support a transition to employment? Inclusive recreation and leisure opportunities? How do they recommend other parents begin transition planning?
Jan Stroethoff is the mother of Mathalia, a 17-year-old high school student. Kirsten and Brian Marsh are the parents of Ian, who is 18 and will begin his final year of school this fall. Theresa Baldry is Isaac's mother - Isaac graduated from high school in 2010. Theresa also supports parents in Montana through her position at PLUK (Parents, Let's Unite for Kids), the Montana Parent Training and Information Center. |
