This special edition of the Transition Projects E-News profiles Montanans with developmental disabilities who live, work, learn and/or play in inclusive, creative ways.
The Emerging Leader Showcase was developed to help youth, families and schools create a vision for what life in the community could look like for young adults who have ongoing support needs.
Through this newsletter, meet:
- Josh, who works several jobs, owns his house and car, and is incredibly active in his community
- Ian, a young man fully engaged in his school and community through sports, photography, volunteering, and more
- Molly and Keough, young women who share an apartment, hold jobs they value, and involve themselves in numerous hobbies and leisure-time pursuits
- John, who runs his own golf course and travels the country (and even to other countries!) to share his love of the game
- Brady, a hard-working student, employee, athlete and Boy Scout...and also a courageous advocate
- Mathalia, a high school sophomore who volunteers, swims, plays the violin, presents at conferences, and more
- Zac, who shares why he loves living in his own apartment and working and playing in his community
